The Most Common Sizes for TV Rentals at Events
When renting a TV for an event, several questions arise. The most frequent, besides resolution, is size. To answer this question, several things need to be considered:
Presentation 1/3
If the TV will be used for a presentation, it is essential to know the number of attendees and the room's dimensions. An LED TV's dimensions can vary depending on its screen size (in inches). One inch is equivalent to 2.54 centimeters, or 1 cm is equivalent to 0.3937 inches.

The most standard sizes for events are 55 inches (121.8 centimeters wide by 68.5 centimeters high), 65 inches (121.8 centimeters wide by 68.5 centimeters high), or 75 inches (166 centimeters wide by 93.4 centimeters high). These sizes are most commonly used in small rooms with a capacity of 50 people, and in medium-sized rooms with a capacity of 100 people, where two 75-inch screens would be necessary.
These sizes are the most requested and could be considered standard, although depending on the room, additional monitors may be required:

Additional Monitors
Many rooms require LED televisions as additional screens to facilitate viewing the content from any angle in the room. Many of these rooms have columns that obstruct the view, or they may be dinner venues where diners have their backs to the main stage. In these cases, the signal is distributed to several monitors strategically placed around the room. 55 inches is a good standard for these occasions.

If the presentation is for a larger event, a larger screen size is required. At MD Audiovisual Services, we have 86-inch LED monitors measuring 190.4 centimeters wide by 107.1 centimeters high, and we have recently acquired 98-inch televisions, which translate to 248.9 centimeters wide by 217 centimeters high. These even have motorized stands due to their weight, allowing for height adjustment. A screen of this size is considered a large-format screen and covers a wide field of view with a 178º angle both horizontally and vertically. These screens can cover a wide field of view for larger audiences. We have also used these screens at large events at the back of the room as comfort monitors:
Comfort Monitor
A comfort monitor is a screen placed in a strategic position so that the presenter can follow their presentation. It's reminiscent of a prompter in a theater, the person hidden from the audience whose job it is to guide the actors when they've forgotten their lines. A comfort monitor is somewhat like a digital prompter, where, in addition to the presentation itself, the speaker can include many tools that facilitate the delivery of their talk.

They are usually placed on the floor using a special stand, and the most common sizes are 43", 55", or 75" inches if the room and stage are larger. We have even used two blocks of three televisions in a row to show the speaker the graphics of their presentation, the text of their presentation, a timer indicating how much time is left, notes, or the live camera feed, especially if there are live connections. In addition to the floor stand, a floor stand can also be used, designed to be placed on the sides of the stage and is height-adjustable.
3/3 Presentation
The same applies if we use monitors as displays in shop windows, trade shows, or exhibitions. A screen that is disproportionately large can damage the brand image, as can one that is too small. The presentation should result in a satisfactory viewing experience for the audience, both in terms of size and technology.
Technology
It is essential to know the content to be broadcast, its format, and the technology required for its presentation. Nowadays, quality can vary depending on the original source. HD or UHD (High Definition or Ultra High Definition) can influence the choice of rental LED TV. HD broadcasts at 1920 x 1080 pixels, and UHD at 3840 x 2160 pixels horizontally. A 4K resolution is four times that of Full HD. Other resolution standards include 2K, 5K, 8K, and 6K, or lower resolutions such as 1280 x 720. Some TVs offer features like auto-loop for continuous content viewing. At a trade show or exhibition, this function is ideal for starting playback at the beginning of the session and restarting the content when it ends, repeating this process throughout the day. Similarly, the rental will influence whether a smart TV is required, or even monitors with AI assistants. A touchscreen is a touch-sensitive screen that is operated by touching it with your fingers. They are frequently used at trade shows, booths, conferences, and exhibitions, where the public can interact with the content, searching for information about the product, brand, or event.

At MD Audiovisual Services, we have LED televisions for rent in various sizes and resolutions (27”, 32”, 43”, 50”, 55”, 65”, 75”, 80”, 86”, 98”). We offer several mounts to adjust the height for ideal viewing or for use as a comfort monitor. We integrate televisions into the walls of a booth, working closely with the installers, and we have multiple technologies to offer solutions for every need.
