Video projector rental for corporate and architectural mapping

Video mapping is the projection of images, videos, or 2D and 3D animations on real surfaces, usually on emblematic buildings. Projecting images onto facades is a perfect resource for celebrations of all kinds. In fact, many town halls are committed to this type of creation, where a very wide audience is achieved, and an emotional bond is created with the building and its surroundings. It is a show where art, technology and society are linked, achieving total immersion on the part of the public.

Sound is paramount in architectural mapping, with music and/or sound effects to excite the audience.

Years ago, videos began to be projected in emblematic buildings, such as the Casa Batlló in Barcelona. A branding action where the mobile phone brand was made known. Even then, there were fears about the distraction it could cause for drivers, and it was not easy to manage permits to project. Another problem was the lumens of the video projectors, which had to be mounted on top of each other to create a dual projection, thus doubling their power.    

Today, the technological advance has been very great, being able to map complex architecture through specific software, and the projectors have evolved a lot in quality and power. Architectural mapping is already used all over the world, providing an artistic, sometimes fantastic, or even historical touch, telling the history of the place, or of the building itself. On the 150th anniversary of the bell tower in the Gracia neighborhood, we projected a series of animations over several days as a giant pendulum, accompanied by historical photographs of it.

This 2022, MD installed a mapping to kick off the Mobile World Congress. The event took place in the capella, a building listed as a historical-artistic monument of national interest. An artistic mapping, with 280º projection, with multiple high-luminosity projectors operated with the Watchout system.
